Thierry has 34 years of professional navigation & sailing
expertize.
Thierry lead several ships as l'Abeille Picardie, l'Abeille
Bretagne, l'Abeille Languedoc, l'Abeille Flandre for rescue
operations along the French coast.
Thierry succeeded last summer the crossing from East to West of
the icy Northwest Passage.

Arielle Corre - 21/07/1954 - France
Since her childhood, Arielle’s passion is without doubt sealing.
As from 1973, Arielle has been sailing around the world & has
discovered some wonderful sailing spots as Greenland,
Newfoundland, South Africa, the British islands, Corsica…
Today, Arielle’s objectives are to enjoy the extreme sailing
conditions of the Big North & take this opportunity to
experience some unique & wonderful moments among the Arctic
wildlife.
The crew will benefit of a positive & wise spirit!

Eric John - 19/05/1963 - France
We will gain from Eric’s love for sailing as well from his
expertise as a crew member & skipper. Recently, Eric did some
sailing tours in Corsica & North of Brittany.
Eric is an aeronautical engineer and is always enthusiastic to
discover new sceneries, practice his interest for hiking &
nature, meet new people, learn from others.
Hobbies: sports linked to nature, fencing & interesting in car
collection.
This expedition is for Eric a sensational opportunity to share
his experience & learn more from the Arctic regions!

Gilles Durand - 61 ans - France
Gilles was a teacher in math & know love spending his time here
& there between Arcachon in France & trips to Thailand… In
parallel, Gilles likes to discover new spots as his last
adventure in Greenland on board of a kayak.
Gilles loves sailing & has had several experiences as a crew
member. Gilles has been also owner of small sailing boats, as
well has done some competition on snipe sailboat.
Gilles will join us in Barrow for second leg, we will welcome
him to take advantage of all his experience.
Hobby: Gilles is passionate by trekking especially in Asia…

Hélène Virlogeux - 03/03/1946 - France
Hélène loves life & enjoys discovering new things. Since one
year, sailing & the Big North has becoming for her a new
revelation. In fact, Hélène knows well the sailboat « Baloum
Gwen » as she did the crossing from Redon in France to Qaqortoq
in Greenland. Since then, Hélène is following training courses
to improve her sailing know-how. Hélène is so keen to discover
new spots & put in practice her new sailing lessons. Hélène will
join us for the first 45 days up to Barrow to appreciate the
wonders of the Pribilofs islands, the Bering Strait & the
Arctic.
