Hi hi there, Yes, we are still at the Top of the world as they call it here in the US. The winds are so bad to depart to Barter Island, coming from the East…against us! Ideally, we would rather need winds from West but not from the East…we could give a try tomorrow…we need to move ahead… to see other Arctic breathtaking sceneries 
Sometimes, sailors do prefer to wait for good winds in order to achieve then more nautical miles instead of loosing time zigzaging & not moving at all…This will depends too on ice charts & winds forecast for the next days…we are very lucky to have Patrick from France which is sending us on regular basis updated info…the forecast for the next days are not what expected: winds from East!!! We had on board the other evening the friendly young guys from Silent Sound: Tobias (German), Cameron (Canadian, the skipper), Hans (German) … See below pictures… Pay a visit to their interesting & educative website www.openpassageexpedition.com …they are so enthusiast by this same challenge as ours…to achieve the crossing of the Northwest Passage…as well as informing one on how the Arctic is beautiful & need more respect… The sun is here shinning on Barrow…the sky is blue…winds are blowing at around 32 knots…the 3 sailing boat attempting the Northwest Passage from West to East are still anchored in front of Barrow (see picture here below) - in front Silent Sound - in the middle Baloum Gwen & then Ocean Watch.
